A discovery flight, sometimes referred to as an introductory flight, is the opportunity to sit at the control of an airplane and see what it’s like to fly an aircraft. If you have never flown a plane, this is an excellent opportunity for you to see what flying an airplane is all about at a discounted rate. For some, this is the first step in becoming an experienced pilot for pleasure, business, or maybe wanting to fly commercially and have an enriching career in the aviation industry.
When you arrive for your discovery flight, we will go over a pre-flight, and perform weight and balance, and one of our professional instructions here at Volar will discuss with you some basic aerodynamics. Questions are welcomed and encouraged.
Your discovery flight will be in one of our Cessna 172SPs equipped with the G1000 avionics suite. You will be at the controls as our instructors guide you through the basics and show you what it will take to become a pilot.
